On Thursday, we officially welcomed a new Riello Transer Machine to Lofthouse.
Two years in the making and with no detail spared, our custom-built transfer machine finally crossed the Atlantic and made its way 575KM from Montreal to its final home in Burk’s Falls.
Thursday morning there was an air of excitement at Lofthouse.
People lined the parking lot and perched themselves in different doorways and windows to watch the anticipated delivery.
Once the machine was on premises the Lofthouse Maintenance team and @WesternMechanical sprung to action.
Lofthouse’s Maintenance team has been preparing for this day for a long time: contractors and equipment had been booked; areas have been cordoned off for safety; plans, drawings, and blueprints have been carefully inspected, revised, and studied.
@WesternMechanical safely rigged and painstakingly maneuvered the 70 ton machine inch-by-inch into its new home utilizing remote control technology.
It took a lot of time and a lot of effort, but the first stage of the new machine’s installation is done!
Way to go everyone!
Stay tuned for more information about this amazing machine!
